This Venice home may be small, but it certainly packs a punch. Inside, period features like the original fireplace and sash windows give the home character, though we love the contemporary flourishes such as the statement lighting, chic rugs, and honeycomb-tile bathroom. The real gem, however, is the leafy patio area. Lie back in the sun on a lounger, light up the barbecue, or unwind with a book on the shaded hammock. You might decide to walk to Venice Beach, but there are two bikes that come with the property which are perfect for whizzing along the boardwalk and exploring those places slightly further afield like Santa Monica. Pick up supplies on the way home and rustle up meals in the modern kitchen, or take the opportunity to explore the array of restaurants that populate the nearby Abbot Kinney Boulevard and Rose Avenue. Catch the last of the sun's rays while enjoying digestifs on the patio, before settling down for a cosy movie night.
