Who doesn’t love a trip to the seaside? Days spent building sandcastles at the beach, and cosy nights in with fish and chips – absolute bliss. We love this house in the west side of beautiful Whitby – it’s just a five-minute walk to the town centre, and is well-placed for all the sights.
It takes twelve minutes to walk to the beach, and the narrow medieval streets of the east bank aren’t far away either. You can explore the ruins of Whitby Abbey and see if you feel as inspired as Bram Stoker did – perhaps you’ll start work on a new literary masterpiece while you’re in town. If you prefer to exercise your legs rather than your mind, you’ll love how close this home is to the North York Moors National Park – hikers will definitely want to pack their boots.
When you’re not seeing the sights, you’ll be glad to have such a lovely space to call home. The cosy living room is the perfect place to curl up on chilly evenings, whether you’re watching films or playing board games over a few drinks. When the weather is fine, you’ll want to be outside as much as possible – happily, there’s an excellent garden here. Sit out on the raised patio while the little ones play on the lawn – what a perfect end to a day at the seaside.
