Really lucky to find such a great place to stay in a superb location. First impressions were that this a lot larger than the photos suggest. The main floor is open plan, with a kitchen, living room and a separate bedroom and on-suite at one end. There’s plenty of space for two 4 seater sofas, a big kitchen table and a well equipped kitchen. Downstairs has a large bedroom that sleeps 3, utility room and toilet with shower. So from a practical point of view, it’s great, kids can stay downstairs if they wish and you wouldn’t know they are there. Outside is magic, great garden to the side with a couple of swings, the laziest cockerel in the world, who only gets up around 9.00pm and goes to bed around 6.00pm. There’s a fab little veranda which faces the west and if you’re lucky, you can sit there and enjoy the setting sun with a few glasses. The kids were in the host’s garden every morning and evening which is completely contained. Wifi connection is strong, allowing you to stream from a FireStick to the TV if needed. Cookstown is about 5 minutes away and has Tescos, M&S, Sainsburys, so no shortage of supplies. It’s about 1 hour from there to nearly anywhere in the North, so we got to the Giants Causeway, White Park Bay beach (best beach on the North coast) and Ulster American Folk park very easily. Thanks Des and Dolores for letting us stay for the 5 nights, best of luck. Fearghal
