Wander back inside, and this home gives a very distinct nod to its surroundings. Pops of teal and blue are peppered throughout this apartment, mirroring the tones of the ocean outside, and with coastal decor adorning the walls and shelves. It’s compact but comfortable with that little touch of class, making it the ideal base for exploring the local area.

Locally, you may want to visit the old town of Ajaccio or perhaps you long to feel the sand between your toes – if so, you’re in luck, as Porticcio beach is just a short four-minute drive away. After a day of adventure, return home, pour yourself a glass of wine, and head onto your terrace where you can snuggle up on the sofa. As the day draws to an end, watch as the sun sets over the Iles Sanguinaires (The Blood Islands) – named for their dark red colour. As the sky turns from its orange glow to black, look up at the blanket of stars above. With just the sound of the ocean and the feel of the breeze tickling your skin, you won’t find a better way to end the day.
