Situated close to Porto’s historical centre, this cosy apartment offers an ideal base from which to explore the city. Sure, it’s not the biggest, but it’s comfortable for two and is perfect for a couples retreat. For a quiet night in, the kitchenette has all the basics needed to whip up a meal, which, we think, is best enjoyed on the communal terrace under the Portuguese sun. If you don’t feel like cooking, this home’s enviable location has you near a whole host of restaurants, so sampling some local cuisine washed down with a glass of port is always on the menu.
Home truths: *The bedroom is on a mezzanine level with no wardrobe space, so we'd recommend packing light.
*There are open-sided stairs to climb in this home. It may not be the best option for those with limited mobility and if you're travelling with children, they'll need to be supervised at all times.
*The decor here is a little generic – those looking for a more luxurious stay may wish to look elsewhere.
*As there is no air conditioning available here, it could get a little hot during the summer.
*You'll have access to a communal terrace. It's shared with the building's other residents.
*Please respect neighbours and keep noise to a minimum between the hours of 10pm - 8am.
