Families looking for a little beachside luxury should look no further than this chalet-like home. The clapboard facade makes it feel as though you’re staying in a glorious, lavish beach hut on the edge of Camber Sands — less than a minute's walk away, in fact.

Inside, the luxurious beach feel continues with lightwood floor and a kitchen that's artfully distressed-looking while maintaining its sleek edges. The dining room really draws the eye, with beautiful hand-crafted chairs and a dresser straight from the markets of India – just like the ornate bed frames and lighting fixtures seen in some of the bedrooms.

A separate, dedicated kids playroom lets you know this place is family-friendly and the fun for little ones doesn’t stop there. Outside you’ll find a pirate ship playground at the end of the long, immaculate lawn.

There are treats out here for grown-ups too in the shape of a bubbling hot tub, hammocks, and comfy canopied day beds for when the sun is shining, plus an Indian sandstone patio dining area with an outdoor kitchen, two barbecues, bar and pizza oven. After the sun sets, everyone can keep warm around the fire pit as the sky is speckled with stars.

In terms of location, there are plenty of nearby beaches along the East Sussex coastline, as well as a handful of restaurants and pubs in the surrounding Camber. A little further afield, High Weald AONB can be reached in just over ten minutes' drive if you fancy discovering ancient paths and wooded hillsides.

*There's private parking for six cars in the enclosed driveway in front of the house and an EV charger
*Two of the bedrooms can be set up as king-size or twins, just let your host know which you prefer
*Pets are welcome if they keep off the furniture and out of bedrooms, but contact the host in advance if you would like to bring more than one dog
*A starter pack of kindling and wood for the fire and charcoal for the barbecue is provided, and you can stock up locally
*Travel cots, high chairs, safety gates and fire guards can be provided for infants
*Between 9.30pm and 7am, an automatic lawnmower is in operation so pets and children should stay off the lawn at this time
