This home is in genteel San Samuele, dotted with galleries and antique shops. Palazzo Grassi Museum of Modern Art and Campo Santo Stefano are both a three-minute stroll. St. Mark’s Square is nine minutes on foot, while Palazzo Mocenigo on the Grand Canal, once the Venetian bolthole of romantic poet and literary figure Lord Byron, is fifteen minutes. Or let your host arrange a tour around the lagoon in a skippered ‘bragozzetto’ boat.
