"Family get together" My wife and I, with my two brothers and their wives, enjoyed staying at a beautifully appointed cottage in the McShane Leisure Home setting just outside Ballintoy. This is just the most scenic location, with views of the ocean and the surrounding countryside. There was one ensuite bedroom in the lower floor, another ensuite bedroom, plus another bedroom with an adjoining bedroom on the second floor. Spacious layout downstairs, with comfortable seating and a fully equipped kitchen: perfect for all our needs. Great location, minutes from the village of Ballintoy and even closer to Ballintoy Harbour, used as the Iron Islands from Game of Thrones. Easy driving distance to Bushmills, Portrush, Portrush and the Giants Causeway. This was our second visit to this incredible property and we are already planning our next trip! Read less

Our third stay at McShane Glen, first time we stayed in the Apartment, second time around we took the Big Bothy, this time we booked the Wee Bothy. We've loved all of the houses but Wee Bothy's my favourite. It was so cosy when we arrived, clean as a whistle and just totally amazing. It's in a great location and within walking distance of Ballintoy village, the harbour (if you don't mind a steep climb back up) and, a bit of a trek but you could walk to Carrick a Rede, either long the cliff path or via the road. We'll be back - this place is an absolute gem. Would definitely recommend.

"Gorgeous cottages in fantastic location!" We celebrated a friends 50th birthday and booked these wonderful cottages for 3 families. Location was stunning overlooking Whitepark Bay and Ballintoy Harbour. Secluded quiet location but within a 10 min drive of Bushmills or Ballycastle. The cottages were lovely and clean, well appointed and beautifully presented in traditional Irish style. Picnic tables in the courtyard meant we could all enjoy the sunshine together outside. Kate and Alex looked after our bookings and all our requests without fault. Fullerton’s Bar & Restaurant is a 5 min walk away in Ballintoy where we found superb hospitality, good honest food and even some live music. Friendly helpful service.. We are already planning our next stay at McShane Glen and look forward to a winter stay next time and the coziness of an open fire in these pretty cottages. Just wonderful!

"Fabulous holiday cottages in idyllic location on Causeway Coast" McShane Glen cottages are fantastic and a great base from which to explore the magnificent Causeway coastline. Six of us stayed in the Manor House, a great 3 bedroom house, which is very comfortable and has everything you need to make your stay enjoyable. Eating breakfast looking out over the sea to Rathlin Island, Islay and even Tiree on a clear, sunny morning was an absolute joy. Ballintoy Harbour, which is just a stone's throw away, is gorgeous and it is only a couple of miles to The Giant's Causeway. Game of Thrones Fans will love it as The Dark Hedges are also close by. It is the perfect base for golfers too as Royal Portrush, Portstewart and Castlerock are within easy reach. It is such a beautiful part of the world and McShane Glen cottages provide the perfect base. We would highly recommend a visit and very much hope to return ourselves.

Absolutely Amazing Didn’t Want To Leave What can I say, Mcshane glen is the most amazing place on earth. The lady who looked after our booking couldn’t do enough for us. (So sorry I forgot your name) We stayed in the Big Boxy. 4 adults and 2 dogs. The cottage catered for every need. From Matches and turf to light a fire to a rolling pin. The beds have been upgraded since some of the reviews complained about them earlier on. They are firm if you like myself like a firm bed. Our bedroom looked out onto the little road and most morning you would see the sheep pass by to go to the field. We ate most evenings in the Fullerton Arms just 2 minutes walk down the road. If you walk up the hill leaving the cottages just take the immediate left there is no path for a short distance but then you come to a path that will take you to the Fullerton Arms. I could write about these cottages all nite and we have already booked our next stay.
