Area
Ten miles to the southeast of Lincoln, in the North Kesteven region of Lincolnshire, is the village of Metheringham. A historic church from the 1600s called St. Wilfrid's is located in the village, along with additional conveniences including a convenience store, a café, a traditional butcher shop, and three warm pubs. A SSSI at a nearby quarry is located on Metheringham Heath, which is to the west of the village's centre and contains a conservation area. Nearby is the lovely city of Lincoln, which features a Norman castle from the 11th century, Tudor townhouses, a series of historic city gates, as well as a variety of unique shops, cosy pubs, and fine dining establishments.
