Area One mile from the English border, Montgomery is a town in Mid Wales. Tourists flock to the town for its unique shops, restaurants, and bars, including Michelin-starred The Checkers, a fantastic way to make your holiday truly memorable. Visit the Montgomery Castle ruins, which date back to the 13th century and offer stunning views of the town's timber-framed homes and cobbled streets, as well as all of Wales. During the summer, the castle also hosts touring theatre groups for performances. With its numerous pubs, live music, and festivals, Bishop's Castle makes an excellent destination for a day or night out, just a few miles to the south. You can go for a walk or take a bike ride in the surrounding countryside, which has a wide range of difficulty levels. Snowdonia National Park, Cardigan Bay, or the Shropshire Hills AONB are all options for a day trip if you'd like to explore more of Wales. It's a wonderful place to spend some time.
