Cottage in Mid Wales: Powys

This extra special home is set in a stunning rural location in a pretty village, yet just 2 miles from the popular town of Montgomery. Visit the 12th century castle ruins, Town Hill County War Memorial and Iron Age hill fort of Ffridd Faldwyn or browse the many shops and cafes on offer. For keen walkers, there are a multitude of scenic footpaths straight from the doorstep and the Offa s Dyke trail is within easy reach. Travelling slightly further afield, you will find the beautiful Shropshire Hills, providing even more tracks and trails to explore. Take a day to visit the town of Bishop's Castle with its fantastic nature reserve, the dramatic Pistyll Rhaeadr or the National Trust's Powis Castle. Stepping into this special property, you are greeted by a spacious utility room with a washing machine, the perfect place to leave muddy boots and coats after a day exploring. Moving through to the hub of the house, the stunning open plan lounge/kitchen/diner has floor to ceiling glass folding doors that open out on to the terrace, flooding the space with light. Relax on the sofa, in front of the wood burner, or socialise with loved ones at the dining table whilst taking in the spectacular scenery. With no expense spared, the kitchen area is fully equipped with everything you could need, including an electric oven and induction hob, microwave, fridge/freezer and dishwasher. At the end of the hallway is a cosy super king size bedroom that will ensure an excellent night's sleep, with patio doors opening out to the hot tub. The second bedroom is a twin zip and link (can be made up as super king size on request) and benefits from an en suite shower room with WC. To complete this magnificent property is a luxurious bathroom with a roll top bath and WC. Externally, this beautiful holiday home has everything you could ask for with far reaching views over the stunning surrounding countryside. A large enclosed terrace provides the ideal spot to delight in a BBQ in the evening, or relax in the hot tub and enjoy a glass of wine whilst taking in this truly special location. There is off road parking for two cars. This property can also be booked alongside Ty Hiraeth for any group bookings.
