Inside, a light-filled living area opens onto a gorgeous patio. Sipping champagne as the sun goes down will become your evening ritual – keep an eye out for wild rabbits and rare birds flying overhead. The kitchen is on the smaller side, but it's well-stocked and well-suited to rustling up delicious breakfasts and other light meals. We also adore the sleigh bed – it's as comfortable as it looks, and nothing beats sinking into the plush sheets after a day of exploring. Speaking of exploring, you're only a five-minute drive from Alnwick, a charming market town with a famous castle. Roam the cobbled streets lined with independent shops, cafes, pubs and restaurants, then head up to the castle for a history lesson or wander the gardens. Drive ten minutes in the opposite direction and you'll hit the Northumberland coast – both Boulmer and Alnmouth are great options if you fancy a day by the seaside.
