Leaf House: California

This bright and stylish house is a great base for a family or group of friends wanting a comfortable base in the Hollywood Hills. It might not be the most spacious of our LA homes, but it's filled with plants, beautiful textiles and has a lovely welcoming feel to it. It's also got a delightful outdoor area, the perfect spot to enjoy a chilled glass of wine or an al fresco dinner.

* Bedrooms 2 & 3 are on the compact side - there's not much wiggle room around the bed

* There are some steps you'll need to climb to access the home

* There's no pool and the beach is a 35 minute drive away
