Multyfarnham village boasts four small scale housing developments (all finished) with two award winning restaurants, two lovely pubs, a glorious park, playground, playing fields and community centre on the banks of the River Gaine and most importantly a vibrant, multi-cultural, multi-denominational, multi-faceted, multi-level, multi-aged, multi-skilled, multi-interest population that is a community in every sense of the word.
The Multyfarnham Friary is a Franciscan friary located in Multyfarnham, County Westmeath, Ireland. It dates to the 15th century. See the stations of the cross, enjoy beautiful walks and admire this stone cut Roman Catholic Church.
We booked all 3 lodges for ourselves and family for 4 nights, as we were getting married close by. It was the perfect place for us all to be together, catch up and relax both before and after the wedding day. The lodges are lovely and comfortable, and the whole area is so peaceful. The owners are such helpful and welcoming people (from our first enquiries until our departure) we can't thank them enough, especially for the congratulations card & gift and fresh baked bread on arrival, such a lovely touch. We would highly recommend to anyone and we will definitely be back

"So peaceful" We decided that we needed to take a small staycation for a couple of days and came across this gem. It was only an hour and twenty minutes away, but it felt like we were miles away. The accommodation was fabulous and had everything that we needed. It was only a short walk to the lake and the views were great. The bed was also extremely comfortable and we both felt so rested. Just a short drive to Multyfarnham or Mullingar, with many restaurants doing take away. Jacinta (the host) was always at hand from booking and throughout our stay. Would definitely stay here again.

"Wonderful" Myself and 5 friends recently stayed at Lake Lodge for 2 nights. Everything was lovely, from the beautifully manicured drive way to the cosy beds. We enjoyed it immensely and I would recommend it to anyone. Easy distance to Mullingar where there are many places to eat and drink. Jacinta was a lovely host and we hope to return next year!
