This villa is all about soaking up the southern Puglian sunshine. You could head to the beach – the sandy bay of Torre Dell’Orso is 2.5 kilometres away – or you could just hang out by the swimming pool, whose beach-style entry and lagoon shape are natural enough to make you feel beach-side. The huge garden is dotted with seating areas from stone sofas shaded by olive trees and lounge seating beneath pergolas, to a double day bed and curvy loungers by the pool. Alfresco dining is a cinch thanks to a stone outdoor kitchen with its built-in grill and pizza oven. The villa has something for those that like to keep active too – yoga mats by the poolside and four complimentary bicycles to explore the area under your own steam.
Inside, we love the conservatory-style dining room which is flooded with sunlight during the day, thanks to a wall of windows looking out over the garden. The kitchen has everything you need for self-catering and some extra touches too, like an ice cream machine, wine fridge and yoghurt maker. And the living room is drenched in sunshine, with a desk for those that may need to work remotely. But days here are really meant to be spent outside, basking in the warmth of southern Italy.
