Staying in this part of town has the obvious advantage of being close to the beach – in the absence of beachside hotels in Barcelona, homes like Indigo Star are the closest you get to waking up and stepping right into the sand. Sightseeing in Eixample will take a longer commute, but if you're in town to relax in a simple (and yet perfectly cosy) home, then this is a good way to go. Indigo star has a certain homey quality that makes for a comfortable stay.
Home truths: * Just to emphasize – there's not much going on around here apart from the beach and Palo Alto market
* The host does allow pets, but the extra family member is usually associated with an extra cleaning fee
* There's parking available, but it won't be free unfortunately
* Aside from a TV with local channels, this home doesn't have a lot of entertainment options
* Although the kitchen is well-equipped with appliances, it doesn't have the basic cooking ingredients
* The terrace is quite outdated and we couldn't get a good photo of it in the bad weather
