The cottage has a private pier which can be used as a swimming platform, mooring, or merely a picturesque spot to enjoy your breakfast! Being at the epicentre of Carlingford Harbour the historic cottage features unparalleled views across the Lough. The proximity of Carlingford village creates an idyllic location for self-catering accommodation.
Formerly a grain store for Carlingford railway station, The property dates back to 1840; it has been sensitively restored using salvage materials exclusively. The reception is a gracious, high ceiling room with a fireplace at one end and an Aga cooker at the other. The spacious conservatory is the perfect place to relax and unwind: 3-feet from the water’s edge; it holds uninterrupted views of Carlingford Lough and the mountains.
The large reception rooms are also suitable for many different events and have hosted wedding receptions, art exhibitions and a yoga retreat to name a few. Situated on the harbour front, Carlingford Lough creates an extraordinary backdrop for any occasion.
In addition to the fascinating history and heritage of the local area, Carlingford itself boasts many pubs, restaurants, activities and festivals.

Main Quay House
A comfortable and charming holiday cottage set in the heart of Carlingford. There are three bedrooms;
Master: 1 double bed, one single bed, en-suite Bedroom 2: twin beds (2 children would fit in each bed) Bedroom 3: twin beds Main bathroom.
The main reception is a gracious, high ceiling room with a fireplace at one end and an Aga cooker at the other. The spacious conservatory is just 3 feet from the water’s edge, giving uninterrupted views of Carlingford Lough and the mountains.
The conservatory can be set up as a formal dining venue and accommodate up to 70 guests for occasions such as a wedding reception.

The Baby House
The baby house at Wood Quay can sleep a maximum of 3 people. There is a high mezzanine sleeping platform, accessed by a ladder. This has two 4ft futon style beds. Downstairs in the living area there is a large sofa bed.
Right on the water's edge, a large window gives uninterrupted views across Carlingford Lough.

This house exceeded expectations, we really wanted to spend time here and felt totally relaxed and peaceful there. The beautiful veranda looking out over the harbour was amazing and the views and changing light were just spellbinding. It’s a very special place.

The location is right in the heart of the community which is very friendly and helpful. The accommodation is comfortable and spacious with easy access to the waterfront. The place is very good value.

This house is full of charm and quirky detail. The view from the large conservatory looking right over the water is gorgeous. It’s located right in the town so you’re near the shops, cafes and pubs. Myself and my family loved it and will definitely be returning.
