Humbug: Lisbon

Humbug has the iconic Gulbenkian Park right on its doorstep – a must-see for art and nature lovers alike. The surrounding streets are wide and calm making it a lovely area to explore away from the chaos of the city – it becomes quite quiet in the evenings and on weekends. This two bedroomed flat is bright and clean with beautiful high ceilings and views of greenery from the windows which look onto the Gulbenkian gardens.

Home truths:
* The location isn’t as central as we’d like – it will take fifteen minutes by public transport to reach the city centre
* The sofa isn’t big enough for all four guests to sit comfortably – it might be a bit of a squeeze
* The wifi is strong in the communal areas but doesn’t reach the bedrooms very well
* We found quite a few marks and scuffs on the walls – they could do with a fresh coat of paint
* While this home can accommodate up to six guests, guests five and six will be sleeping on a sofa bed in the living room
* The master bathroom doesn’t have a window which is a bit of a shame
