"One word will be enough : Marvellous!"
My sister and I had a great stay at the "Heron's rest". Eleanor and Tommy have been very nice and helpful ! Thank you, Eleanor for the delicious scones and the chocolate cake !

The house is very comfortable : the bedrooms are nice and big. The location is very nice, too, just in front of Lough Corrib and we have been lucky enough to see a heron several times during the week ! It was also very easy to drive to Galway (about 30 kilometers from the house) and to many other places in Connemara. I really hope I will be able to come back to the "Heron's rest " one day...

"A little piece of heaven"
A gorgeous place on the shore of Lough Corrib. All 5 of us had a fantastic time (2 parents plus 3 16-19 year olds). My favourite thing was to sit with a cup of tea first thing in the morning and just listen to the bird and insect life. The house lacked nothing. The home-baking and fresh flowers on arrival were a lovely (and delicious) touch. The use of the rowing boat was great fun. Lots to go and visit locally or just a great place to unwind. I shall be recommending Herons Rest to everybody. Thanks Eleanor and Tommy.

"Hidden Gem near Headford"

Myself and 3 friends have been staying in this house in a beautiful location on the shore of Lough Corrib in May for the last few years. The sound of the birdsong alone early in the mornings makes the stay worthwhile. Whether you are into fly fishing or just in need of a restful break, this tranquil place is perfect. Lovely accommodation and Eleanor and Tommy are there to help with any advice you need regarding the local area or where to eat. As a bonus the fishing is excellent as well. Myself and my friends can't wait for our return visit next year.

"Great stay"
We had a great stay. Very peaceful area in a sheltered bay of Lough Corrib. Owner has a good knowledge of the lake and the fishing scene locally. Close enough to Galway to spend and evening on Quay Street too!
