Greek Chic: Crete

Even the hardest to please of holidaymakers couldn't fail to be wowed by this incredible villa on the north coastline of Crete. What makes it stand out, in our opinion, is the sheer number of different stand-out features.

If you're not won over by the seventeen-metre long infinity pool with endless views of the Cretan Sea, then maybe you'll be swayed by the huge outdoor kitchen complete with both a barbecue and a stone oven. And if the multiple terraces with alfresco lounges and dining areas don't tickle your fancy, perhaps the gym with its glorious coastal panorama should do it. What about the flight of steps outside taking you down to the home's very own private beach?

In the face of all these stunning amenities, it can be easy to overlook the fact that the villa itself is something extraordinary, too. Boxy and modern on the outside, it brings together a deliciously sleek kitchen, a glass fireplace in the living room and a collection of sea-facing bedrooms.

When you can prise yourself away from this architectural gem, there are some larger public beaches sitting nearby, while the town of Heraklion and its ancient ruins take twenty minutes to reach in the car.
