Area The little rural community of Creggs can be found in the northwest of County Galway, not far from the County Roscommon border. Despite having a small population, Creggs is surrounded by lush, beautiful countryside, giving visitors a true taste of rural life. The bustling town of Roscommon is only a short drive from the village, which also features a local store, a tavern that serves meals, and a fish and chip restaurant. Why not head to the Lough Rea shoreline to try your hand at fishing or rent a boat along the Shannon? Strokestown House and Gardens, which also houses the Irish Famine Museum, is also easily accessible.
