After pottering around the fully-equipped kitchen, head onto the private balcony with a freshly brewed coffee and soak up the warm Spanish sunshine. If sightseeing is on the agenda, begin with a trip to the nearby National Museum of Natural Sciences before jumping on the metro at Gregorio Marañón and whizzing into the heart of the city. Shop along the Gran Vía, explore the Royal Palace of Madrid and picnic in the pretty Retiro Park.
