Live like a 1930s Parisian movie star in this chic, monochrome apartment. The sleek grey, black and white motif is as though someone has applied and black and white filter to the apartment. And there’s a sense of grandeur too with floor to ceiling French windows swathed with thick curtains and a chandelier above the dining table. The kitchen is pure modernity and there’s a little selection of guidebooks and cookbooks in the wall press, adding a homely touch. But the best thing about this apartment is the location. In the second Arrondissement, near the Gare de L’est and Gare du Nord, the streets around the apartment are home to boulangeries for morning croissants, and plenty of Parisian bistros and restaurants in the leafy boulevards. If you want to get out and explore the likes of The Louvre and Notre Dame, it’s a leisurely walk into the centre, or an easy hop on the metro from Strasbourg Saint-Denis, which is a minutes’ walk away.
