Placed just around the corner from Dalston’s vibey cafes, stores and underground station, it’s no surprise that guests rave about this apartment’s location. Set in a period townhouse, this first-floor apartment’s good-looking interiors speak for themselves. Although the second bedroom with a Murphy pull-down bed is very compact, we think you'll forgive that when you see the all-too-rare private garden waiting outside. Add to that free weekend and evening parking (practically gold dust in London), and you’re onto a winner.
Home truths: *A cot and high chair can be provided for little ones. Just request in advance with your host.
*There are exterior steps to reach the entrance of this home, and some internal steps leading to the second bedroom, so be prepared to climb some stairs.
*It’s worth noting that the second bedroom has a Murphy pull-down bed, and there's no walking space on either side of the bed. However, there’s still everything you need for a good night’s sleep.
*Although not photographed, the garden has a dining table.
*Needless to say, all bed sheets and towels are professionally dry cleaned here, but the sheets won’t be ironed. Not a dealbreaker, but worth noting.
*Compared to the interiors, the building’s exteriors feel tired in places.
