Ingleton is a quaint village resting in the southwest region of County Durham, set between the market town of Darlington and the village of Eggleston. Ingleton is best known as the home of The Church of St John the Evangelist, which was constructed in 1843 and is currently Grade II listed. The village and its immediate surroundings feature attractions such as Raby Castle, Deer Park & The Plotters' Forest, the tranquil grounds of the Raby Estates, with dining options including the Black Horse, Ingleton, the Raby Hunt Inn & Restaurant in nearby Summerhouse and The Country Tea Shop & Restaurant in Staindrop a short drive west.
