We booked Crook Lodge for a mini moon trip away to the Lakes - what a good choice that was! The lodge is so lovely and well presented, it has everything you could possibly need for a weekend or week stay. The kitchen is very well equipped to be able to cook for yourselves and came with a little cleaning pack of tea towel, dishwasher tablets, cloth, sponge and washing up liquid. Even has a washing machine and tumble dryer if needed! There was logs and kindling left for us to be able to use the log burner, but as mentioned in the previous review, the central heating is fantastically efficient! The bedroom and bathroom were a great size and also very nice, for me the only comment would be to take your own pillow if you’re not a fan of very soft ones. The hot tub is a small 2 person size, but perfectly adequate for a 2 person lodge. Would recommend taking your own towels for using the hot tub as towels in the lodge are only provided for bathroom/showering. A pair of flip flops is also a good recommendation for getting to and from the hot tub across the deck. Overall a fantastic and very relaxing stay, would definitely recommend!

Just back from a lovely weekend at crook lodge, would highly recommend this lodge and area to anyone! Cartmel is a short walk away, where there is local pubs, restaurants, a local shop (where sticky toffee comes from originally- a MUST!!!) etc..!!! (If walking I would highly recommend a good torch!!) Windermere is also very easy to get to from the lodge (we went by car!). As well as every other place!
The lodge itself is very private, it was spotless and very well equipped. There was logs, paper and kindling left for us for the log burner (which was very cozy in the colder evenings), however the lodge itself had great central heating too! The hot tub is fab, lovely to relax in, we were however dissapointed there wasn’t a separate towel or robe for this!
