This luxurious period house lies in a peaceful and private position within mature gardens. It is located close to the picturesque town of Melrose, famous for rugby sevens, on the outskirts of Galashiels. Sat directly on the Southern Upland Way, it is ideal for walking and biking, and is also a perfect base to enjoy numerous outdoor pursuits including salmon and trout fishing on the River Tweed as well as golfing and horse riding, with the renowned Glentress Forest within easy reach. Visit Abbotsford, home of Sir Walter Scott, Melrose Abbey, Old Gala House and Thirlestane Castle. Galashiels has excellent shopping and leisure facilities including a swimming pool, gyms and cinema. Or enjoy day trips to the elegant city of Edinburgh on the Scottish Borders Railway from Tweedbank or Galashiels stations. Heading up the wonderful period staircase to the first floor you are met with a comfortable seating area with fridge, followed by five beautifully decorated bedrooms. There is a master super king size bedroom with fridge, dressing room, and an en suite bathroom with free standing bath, separate shower, his and hers sinks and WC. Then there is a double bedroom with an en suite shower room with WC, and two spacious king size bedrooms with TV, and en suite shower rooms with WC's. Completing the first floor is the pretty twin bedroom with TV, and en suite bathroom with shower over bath and WC.
