Cottage in Scottish Borders: Glasgow and the Clyde Valley

Nestled within the private grounds of a magnificent Scottish Baronial house, with over 30 acres of beautiful, landscaped gardens and parkland to explore, this cottage is perfect for a peaceful getaway. The picture postcard royal burgh of Biggar is close at hand with its array of quality eateries, friendly inns and country pubs, art galleries, fascinating museums, award winning puppet theatre and independent shops to enjoy. The immediate area is a paradise for walking, biking and hiking with the nearby Tinto Hill, Culter Fell and Crosscryne to explore. Enjoy a trip to the New Lanark World Heritage Site, a unique 18th century mill village, Falls of Clyde Visitor Centre and Wildlife Reserve, and the beautiful Dawyck Botanic Gardens. Step inside this luxurious stone built cottage into the sunroom, where there is a seating area to admire the lovely, landscaped garden views, then step through to the light and bright lounge. After a day out exploring the beautiful local area, relax and watch a great movie on the Smart TV with Sky HD package, soundbar and Blu ray DVD player. Next is the kitchen, ideal for cooking up a storm with an electric oven and hob, microwave, espresso machine, fridge/freezer and dishwasher. There is also a comfortable dining area in the kitchen for romantic or family gatherings, and on those cooler evenings, light up the lovely wood burner. Heading through the hallway, you will find a spacious master king size bedroom with a Bluetooth docking station and an en suite shower room with a rain shower and WC. Next is the pretty double bedroom with lovely garden views, followed by the stylish bathroom with a rainfall shower over the bath, Smart TV and WC. Completing the accommodation is the handy utility room with a washing machine and tumble dryer; there is also direct access from the hall out into the rear enclosed garden. Venturing outside, there is a pretty front garden and a rear enclosed garden with a decked area with seating for al fresco dining or lazy evening stargazing. There is secure bike storage, and ample off road private parking is available next to the cottage.
