Property Overview

The Old Manor is one of three properties within one known locally as, 'The Mount'. This fantastic light and airy property sleeping eight is just 150 metres from Coldingham Bay, a strip of sandy beach with a cafe and great rock pooling at low tide. Travelling north along the Berwickshire Coastal Path and less than a mile away is the pretty fishing village of St Abbs providing fantastic views from the dramatic rocky headland and a wide range of seabirds to spot. For a longer stroll, Eyemouth is 3 miles away, where you can discover the secrets of the smugglers at Gunsdown House, or take a boat trip to spot dolphins in the bay. For more local history, wander through the atmospheric ruins of Coldingham Priory, a mile away, before enjoying refreshments at one of the village pubs. Inside, the property is simply stunning. The property has been stylishly renovated to an excellent standard which will please even the most discerning of guests. Entering the bright and airy hallway, you'll find a beautiful chequerboard floor that is the perfect welcome. Leave sandy shoes in the utility room and rinse the salty swimmers in the washing machine, while the kids chill out in the TV lounge with a choice of games console, DVDs or board games. The spacious shaker style kitchen has a Belfast sink and large electric range oven, as well as dishwasher and a Nespresso machine, and the connected dining room boasts a great social space with large windows looking onto the lawned garden. If the weather is less than favourable, light the wood burner in the main living room and settle in for the evening with amazing views out to sea from the pretty bay window. Four bedrooms on the first floor all have an en suite bath or shower room, and there are two single fold up beds or a double sofa bed for additional guests if extra sleeping space is needed. The outside space is also absolutely fantastic with gardens to the front and rear a perfect space to dine alfresco on warmer days, whether you light the BBQ on summer evenings or enjoy an early morning coffee and croissants. But it is the view from this property that is sure to be the show stealer something that you will comment on every time you return to the house.
