Cottage in North Wales: Flintshire

The cottage sits in a lovely spot on the edge of Lixwm, surrounded by countryside. Walk to the pub (less than a mile), cycle, trek or horse ride on local paths, or climb the highest peak in the Clwydian Range. Visit Mold, with its street market, annual food and drink festival and Theatre Clywd, or the historic towns of Ruthin, and Denbigh offering independent shops, eateries and attractions. Visit the Roman city of Chester and its zoo, or enjoy a day on the coast, head north to Prestatyn with its sandy beach and activities, not forgetting the stunning mountain ranges in North Wales, well worth exploring. All of these are within 15 miles. This is an all year round destination to enjoy, whether unwinding or taking a more active holiday. A private drive leads to this lovely cottage which is full of interesting artwork, thoughtful extras and luxuries to enhance your stay. Enter through the door into the hall with plenty of space for your outdoor attire. Walk through to the creatively designed open plan lounge/kitchen/diner flooded with natural light. At the far end is the kitchen area with an electric oven and induction hob, fridge, freezer, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine and tumble dryer, with plenty of space to rustle up a meal. Enjoy your meal at the breakfast bar with feature lighting. After a full day out, relax on the comfortable sofas, watch your favourites on the Smart TV and switch on the electric fire for cosy nights in. When ready for bed choose from two fabulous bedrooms, the king size bed with stylish en suite bathroom with free standing bath, shower and WC, or the stunning twin with attractive en suite shower and WC. The enclosed garden has a relaxing hot tub with luxury robes and hot tub towels provided, elevated patio for al fresco dining with furniture and gas BBQ, a sun terrace and feature planting perfect for evenings enjoying the views after you ve spent the day exploring the area. Have fun in the covered 'Boar Cave' with games facilities, seating area and table. Parking for two cars and a bike rack is available. There are two resident donkeys nearby on the owners grounds on the working farm, make sure you bring some carrots and apples, though your privacy is assured at all times.
