Cottage in North Devon: Devon

Located in the heart of the beautiful conservation village of Guineaford, just 3 miles from Barnstaple, walking enthusiasts will be spoilt for choice with stunning walks nearby, including the South West Coast Path and Exmoor National Park (10 miles). Marwood Gardens and Tearoom (0.1 miles) are on your doorstep and have events throughout the year. There are a choice of stunning beaches and secret coves to choose from, including Croyde, Saunton and Woolacombe, all within 7 miles. Enjoy surfing, swimming and other water sports, with equipment hire and lessons available to book. Woolacombe and Saunton Sands beaches are both 3 mile stretches of golden sand where you can take your four legged friends throughout the year. Enjoy a cycle ride along the Tarka trail which incorporates 32 miles of traffic free cycling, with the rest of the 180 mile route being scenic footpaths and bridleways. Also explore the wild moorland and tumbling rivers of Exmoor (9 miles), with tearooms and pubs along the way. Step into this romantic and luxurious cottage and you will immediately appreciate the creative decor including glowing oak and golden stone floors, river slate, and opulent furnishings. Snuggle up on the cosy sofas on cooler evenings in front of the wood burner. Enjoy making a romantic meal in the beautifully designed kitchen which is equipped with everything you need for your culinary adventures. Take the stairs to the sweet, quirky bedroom with a luxurious king size bed that looks out onto a canopy of copper beech leaves and beautiful garden views. There is also a single pull out bed in the main bedroom for a younger child, and a double sofa bed downstairs in the living room. Completing the cottage is a bathroom with a statement walk in shower and WC. Step out onto the patio and pretty, enclosed garden, with magical night time lighting and stream flowing through the garden, making it an idyllic, tranquil place in which to relax and unwind after a day of adventure. Dine alfresco and enjoy evenings under the stars with the charcoal fire pit and BBQ, dryrobes and blankets, listening to the sounds of owls hooting and the gentle ripples of the stream.
