Cartmel is a charming village boasting a variety of attractions, including a racecourse, an ancient priory and several outstanding restaurants including 3 Michelin Star restaurants to enjoy within a 3 mile radius. Guests can also take a gentle stroll to the village centre, which is approximately 1 mile away, and explore the delightful streamside walks and quaint cobbled streets. You can also find a plethora of charming independent shops, pubs, and restaurants in Cartmel. Visitors can also attend one of the nine race meets held each year at the famous racecourse, which has a fantastic atmosphere and makes for a fun day out. For those who want to venture further afield, there are several noteworthy attractions to visit, including the Campbell Legend Bluebird Exhibition, the Lakeland Motor Museum, and the spectacular gardens at Holker Hall and Lake Windermere all a short drive away and within a 6 mile radius. Upon entering the property through the porch, you are welcomed into the spacious open plan lounge/kitchen/diner. The fully equipped kitchen has all you need to create a tasty breakfast or delicious evening meal and the dining table seats up to 14 and there are comfy sofas for relaxing and chatting. Heading through the house you are led into the lounge area which features an original hand carved wood panelled wall and is a great space to kick back and relax by the open wood fire, a Smart TV with Netflix and Amazon and seating the perfect spot to enjoy those cooler evenings with your favourite film or series. Before heading up the elegant staircase you can find the convenient boot room with ample storage for your coats and bags as well as a handy WC. Upstairs, you are led through the charming hallway to the many beautiful bedrooms, each boasting individual character, period features and panoramic views. The first bedroom, with super king bed, is a great space for the dog owners of the group, with easy access to the rear of the property, as well as an en suite with a shower room. Next door, the second bedroom is located adjacent to the spacious shower room, with a king size bed and a cosy window seat you can enjoy the views of the local wildlife. Further along the hallway, room three is a quirky double bedroom with original features as well as an en suite shower room. Further down the hall you will find the main family bathroom with a full sized bath, shower and WC. Opposite the main bathroom, rooms four and five can be found offering a king size and double bed respectively. Weaving through the quirky corridor you can find bedroom six, a spacious double. Lastly, across the hall, room seven is well equipped with a super king size bed, ample storage, en suite shower room and in room bath. Completing the property is the well designed outdoor space, with a 7 seater hot tub and enclosed garden, you can certainly soak up the views. Enjoy warmer evenings firing up the BBQ or enjoying a good book whilst watching the horses frolic in the Friesian horse sanctuary where you can catch a glimpse of the famous black horses of Cartmel.
