This home has been designed and furnished with a keen eye for detail – the exposed brick walls are difficult to pair with anything, but we felt that the octagonal mirrors and other earthy decorations fit in with Cosy Cavern's character quite well. This home doesn't have a lot of natural light, but you'll hardly notice it with the abundant atmospheric lighting. Close to CaixaForum and the famous trio of Madrid's most spectacular museums, Cosy Cavern is a true treat of a holiday home with a fantastic host.

* There are steps in this home – those with heavy luggage or mobility issues take note
* Both bedrooms have two single beds that can be joined to form a super king
* Due to the lower floor being underground, you won't be getting a lot of fresh air there
* Six guests can sleep in this home, but the last two will need to settle for the sofa bed in the living room
* There's a small locked space on the top floor with the hosts' belongings, to which you won't have access
