This quaint home is set within a tranquil private courtyard just 250 metres from the Place de la République, where three of Paris’ most interesting neighbourhoods converge. A former cabinetmaker's workshop, the home has been thoroughly modernised, with an exposed brick wall remaining as a nod to its industrial past. While the place is cosy, it has a thoughtful distribution and a cleverly positioned mirror in the bedroom opens up the space further. We particularly loved the added colour and texture from the natural materials and flourishing houseplants. A short ten-minute stroll takes you to the trendy Upper Marais where cutting-edge eating establishments sit among some of the city’s oldest edifices. In just three minutes by foot, you’ll arrive at the Saint-Martin canal. It’s the perfect spot to tuck into baguettes and hang out in waterside bars with a glass of natural wine.
