The building itself is over 200 years old, although you wouldn’t think it from the chic interiors and brightening windows. We love how sunlight engulfs the home in each room, dancing off the sage finishes, piercing through the gaps in the fluttering trees. It’s a beautiful place to start your day, gathering around the kitchen table with a warming coffee while discussing the day’s plan.

If your tropical courtyard hasn’t quite met your nature fix, you’re steps away from the Municipal Gardens – full of flourishing plants and bursting flowers. After a nice walk through the gardens and around the city, it might be time for a drink. Madeira is known for having excellent wine, so it's a good thing you’re right next to a popular winery – your host can even arrange a discounted price on tickets.

If you’re not full up from the wine and cheese, your kitchen is perfectly equipped for whipping up something delicious. Spend an evening at home around the stylish dining table, playing card games while the low-hanging light sets the ambience.
