Bursting with the rustic charm of exposed beams and stonework, this 18th-century home is perfect for family getaways. A vine-covered pergola offers a shaded space to dine alfresco, while the private pool is ideal for sunny afternoons. There's also a bocce court, billiards, table tennis and a playground where the little ones can keep busy for hours. The bathrooms might feel a tad outdated, and the open-plan en-suites aren't the most private, but the house is roomy and well-kept – though not all the bedrooms are air-conditioned, and three are in separate guest houses. Location-wise, you're surrounded by hiking trails, and we recommend visiting the Lorgues market on Tuesdays for fresh produce. Sainte-Maxime is an hour away if the beach is calling your name.
Home truths: *While all the bedrooms and bathrooms aren’t photographed, expect the style and quality to be consistent with the rest of the home.
*We suggest hiring a car for ease – there's parking space for up to ten cars here.
*Six guests will be sleeping in bedrooms found in the two guest houses on the estate. Any double beds are made up of two single mattresses pushed together.
*Some of the en-suite bathrooms are open-plan and might not feel the most private.
*The swimming pool isn't fenced. If you're bringing kids, they'll need to be supervised.
*If you're travelling with little ones, your host can provide a cot and high chair for free.
*If you want to stock up on essentials during your stay, you'll find the closest supermarket minutes away.
