There is something soothing about the clash of verdant green against a forget-me-not blue sky, and that’s the view from this Mallorcan country villa. Local stone has been used to create the traditional-style exterior of the villa, which fits in with the beautiful mountain surroundings. It’s pure peace and tranquillity out here, yet the centre of old town Pollensa is just a ten-minute walk away, for bars, restaurants and supermarkets in pretty, ancient streets.

Let’s talk about the outside space. It’s impossible to ignore the call of the sparkling turquoise swimming pool, standing out against a verdant green lawn. Lined with loungers, this is the ideal spot to while away sunny Mallorcan afternoons. On the covered patio, you’ll find a big wooden table with benches for rustic lunches. A brick-built fireplace can act as the barbecue area or just a spot to warm up should the air turn chilly after sundown.

There’s a cast-iron fireplace inside too, taking pride of place in the cosy living room. Terracotta tiled floors and crisp white walls keep things traditional and cool throughout and a separate dining room is ideal for big, group breakfasts. Then there’s the kitchen, which is more than big enough to handle the bustle of family meal times.
