This amazing Greek home offers stunning views of the Aegean Sea which we would love to gaze upon every morning as we enjoyed breakfast from the traditional selection basket delivered daily. Spend lazy days lounging in the sunshine on the rooftop, reading a good book on the terrace or cooling off in the waters of the small, private saltwater pool which is protected from the wind, creating a perfect spot to unwind.
The island of Patmos – where this home is located – is a significant Christian pilgrimage site. The Cave of the Apocalypse – a nine-minute drive away – is where John of Patmos is said to have written the Book of Revelations, while the eleventh-century monastery dedicated to him – the Monastery of Saint John the Theologian – is just an eight-minute drive away from this home, and overlooks a view of whitewashed houses of the island’s capital, Chora.
For beach days, head to Loukaklia or Sapsila which are seven and eight-minute walks away respectively. While the more adventurous may enjoy a hike on the trail – a nine-minute drive away. Or why not visit the quaint fishing village of Grikos – a sixteen-minute drive away – which is known for its beauty, fishing, and water sports.
