Area Carbis Bay, a seaside community in St Ives, is well known for its stunning stretch of sugar-white sand beach. The beach has a subtropical feel to it thanks to the turquoise water and the shady setting, making it ideal for a lazy day at the shore. So if lying on the sand isn't your thing, you can always head over to the Ocean Sports Centre and rent a kayak or stand-up paddleboard.
