There are also many breathtaking walks in and around the village, with the route of the South West Coast Path passing nearby. Why not pack up a picnic and enjoy a day out exploring the blissful South West coastline? Take a trip to the nearby charming town of Lynton (10.5 miles) and catch the Cliff railway to picturesque Lynmouth. Why not visit the harbour town of Ilfracombe (9 miles) and jump aboard one of the many boat trips available and see if you can spot a seal or two. Surfers and beach lovers alike have a choice of beaches only a few miles away including Woolacombe's World Surfing Reserve (11.5 miles); also within the village is a dog friendly beach, an array of shops, cafes, restaurants and pubs. Other attractions in the area include National Trust's Arlington Court (5 miles), Dartington Crystal (25 miles) and RHS Garden Rosemoor (26 miles). On entering the property you are greeted by a beautifully bright and characterful open plan lounge/kitchen/diner boasting vaulted ceilings, original timber beams, stone tiling and exposed stonework. Open up the French doors and admire the stunning views over the fields and down the valley to the sea.
