"Awesome, Just go there"
We enjoyed a fantastic family break here recently and couldn't say enough great things about the place. Its so peaceful, yet not far away from so many wonderful places to see. Ita is the most efficient hostess we have ever met and nothing is a problem to her. The lodges have everything you need to enjoy your holiday and were spotlessly clean on arrival. The kitchen was a dream to cook in and has many extras that you don't normally get in a holiday rental. The area is a haven for anyone who loves to walk and explore and children will have a ball. They never once looked for a digital device which was fab. I would highly recommend Ballyhoura Mountain Lodges, you won't regret staying there.!

"Best self-catering in Ireland"
Myself and my family spent a wonderful long weekend in Ballyhoura Mountain Lodges, from the moment we got there we were captivated by beautiful scenery, it is pure pristine beauty.

Ita could not have been any more helpful and informative, each day she had new suggestions for us and we got to see beautiful locations and do wonderful activities such as horse riding, swimming and forest walks.

Each day was better than the last, my advice to anybody going is to be prepared to get off the beaten track and bring picnic equipment. He had wonderful mountain top picnics and spent hours in Lough Gur, Griston big, mallow amongst others.

I have already booked my next trip!! Can't wait

"Highly Recommended!"
Had a great stay here with my family earlier this month. Beautiful, peaceful location and the house was lovely- spacious, modern, comfortable and clean. Children had a great time playing out with the kids from the other lodges and had total freedom without us needing to worry where they were. Ita (the host) couldn't have been kinder or more helpful. Thanks again! Sacha+Alessandra

"Idyllic retreat"
Gorgeous place we stayed with two kids two adults and my special needs brother houses are fab but unless your into biking and hiking this location is a bit isolated you have to drive min 35 min to any local attraction but if u came with a group or wedding and hired the whole place it would be fantastic

This was our second time staying at Ballyhoura Mountain Lodges, and, as before had a great holiday. The location is in a beautiful and peaceful wooded area, and only a short walk to a Ballyhoura forest, where there are miles of walks and exercise stations, if you're feeling energetic. There is an official mountain bike trail centre there, we brought our own bikes, but you can hire them there also. The local people are very friendly and helpful, and there is a small pub just down the road from the lodges. Ita looked after us brilliantly again, telling us of local events, where to shop, places to visit etc. We were lucky with the weather too, and there were only a few showers on our last day.
If you want to unwind for a few days, this is the place to go. We will be back again.
