Looking for a home with a dazzling sea view in Madeira? Then this newly renovated apartment set in the postcard-pretty seaside village of Reis Magos, fringing Funchal should do very nicely. A perfect choice for families and friends chasing a quieter side of Madeira life, there's a charming promenade and blue-flag pebble beach (just one kilometre away) that's perfect for swimming thanks to its crystal-clear waters. And you'll never go hungry here with a cluster of seafront eateries serving the freshest seafood imaginable, and plenty of bars and restaurants dotted about the village's charming streets. Or, if you're after something a little buzzier, there's always nearby Caniço (five minutes by car) and, a smidge further, Funchal.

Back home, you'll love this light-filled home's fresh and inviting interiors. But the clincher for us has to be that panoramic sea-facing balcony accessed from the main bedroom and living space. And if you're impressed now, imagine this spot at sunset with the boats bobbing back into shore. Rustle yourselves up some Poncha sundowners (you're on holiday, after all) and settle down for golden hour – it's quite the show.
