A Fantastic Place: Apulia

Situated in Lecce's hamlet of Salignano, this villa boasts a heated private pool and a lovely garden with space for sitting out in the sunshine or dining in the shade. The decor here is quite traditional and perhaps won't be to everyone's taste, but we think the location is great. The ancient Heroon Centopietre, an enigmatic tomb of the noble hero Gimignano, is a short walk away, while the Ionian Sea is easily reached by car, whether you head west to the Marina di San Gregorio beach or east to Il Ciolo.

*There’s space for two cars on the property here, with more parking space in a nearby car park. Due to the location of this home, we recommend hiring a car to get the most out of your stay.
*Your host can provide a free high chair here if you're travelling with little ones, as well as children's books.
*The twin beds here are on wooden pallets on the ground – we think these are best suited to young people.
*The traditional decor here might not be to everyone's taste. It feels a little dated in parts.
