Special guests from the world of entertainment, sport, and business joined GM Ger Alley and his team to celebrate the re-launch of The 5-star Heritage following the recent acquisition by FBD. As part of the takeover, FBD Hotels & Resorts commenced a major refurbishment of the ground floor bar and restaurant of the hotel, as well as the afternoon tea space and ballroom. Designed by Audrey Gaffney Interior Architects and Designers, the new spaces helps create a warm and welcoming guest experience.
Another major part of the refurbishment was the spa and leisure centre, which is one of the largest such dedicated spaces in Ireland, boasting 7,000 sq. metres of treatment rooms, as well as a thermal suite and leisure facilities.
The luxury spa is set in an oasis of calm, with a wonderful selection of spa treatments and packages that will allow guests to indulge in a truly world-class spa experience.
Situated in Killenard, Co Laois just one hour from Dublin, The Heritage Hotel & Spa employs 38 full-time and 108 part-time staff. Facilities include 85 well appointed guestrooms, 13 luxury suites, a tranquil health club and spa, and an extensive wedding, conference and banqueting centre.
The property overlooks the renowned Seve Ballesteros-designed championship golf course, comprising 7,345-yards of green and a variety of tees to suit golfers of all standards.
