What's the big news in the worldwide luxury real estate market right now? When it comes to the new and the next, Five Star always aims to be the first to source and inspect the best properties.

One of the biggest news stories trending on the global property scene is Brooklyn, booming with a new live, work and party vibe and plans for more pedestrian and green space areas, shared streets, and bike lanes.

Five Star's Shane Gavin took in the jaw-dropping views during a recent inspection of New York's latest scraper, Brooklyn Tower - Developed and built by JDS Development Group and designed by SHoP Architects, the two firms are no strangers to sky-high luxury engineering and what an extraordinary addition to the Downtown New York skyline this is.

Soaring at 1,066 feet above the borough at 93 stories, Shane points out that this building at 9 DeKalb Avenue "is taller than all surrounding high rises, standing at almost 350 feet higher than the next building".

The condos for sale all begin at higher than 500 feet - this is the height of most penthouses nearby. The views of the Manhattan skyline are extraordinary, from the floor to ceiling windows from New York Harbor to Prospect Park, Brooklyn and the Atlantic Ocean, and there are also one hundred thousand square feet of amenities from health and fitness to elevated outdoor areas and landscape design by 'HM White.'

With the plan for occupancy by late 2022 and worldwide interest, it's truly a race to the top in New York's Downtown Brooklyn!
