The K Club: Kildare

The Internationally acclaimed Five Star The K Club is nestled on 550 acres of rolling countryside with its own private stretch of the River Liffey, just 30 minutes outside the bustling city of Dublin. Built in 1832, the original house was modelled on a French Chateau and still retains many of its original architectural features, artwork and antiques.

The hotel is home to two of Europe's finest championship golf courses, designed by Arnold Palmer: The Palmer Ryder Cup Course and The Smurfit Course. Other key features include a luxury Spa with minimalist and contemporary decor, a well-equipped fitness club and a rich choice of dining options.

Signature Suites

Presidential Suite West
Garden & River Views, our magnificent Presidential Suite located in the Western Wing of the hotel, unveils a stylish and tranquil space for guests to unwind in. Elegantly decorated, it has a large bedroom with a luxurious interconnecting living room that features a large bay window. Guests can relish the beautiful views of the 550-acre resort in the heart of the glorious Kildare countryside.

Presidential Suite East
Garden & River Views. Provides the option of a second interconnecting bedroom making it ideal for families. Our beautiful Presidential Suite in the Eastern Wing of the hotel provides the ideal home away from home for larger families. This elegant suite offers a large living area that connects two bedrooms creating a two-bedroom suite.

The Viceroy Suite
With Garden Views the Viceroy Suite design was a homage to the master bedroom of the original house at The K Club, Straffan House.
Guests are transported to old-world beauty while taking in the breath-taking views of the manicured gardens - an ideal space for honeymooners or those in search of a romantic escape.

The Imperial Suite

A very special place to visit and play golf. From the grand entrance road, to the huge impressive hotel , to the immaculate greens and fairways, north and south courses. The clubhouse with ice cream and coffee shop, and the history of the Ryder Cup event everywhere to see. A must visit!

We had our intimate wedding in K Club following changing our initial plan for slightly bigger affair. It was such a wonderful experience, we cannot put into words how very grateful we are to the wedding coordinators and all the staff for their help. Rachael was such a fantastic support to us from start to finish and she made our experience totally stress free. She thought of every detail and checked in with us throughout the entire experience. The whole experience was just unbelievable and the staff are a class act. Our wedding tasting was amazing and we met all the staff, they made us feel so welcome. They also were so professional and helpful. We had our wedding in the Tara Suite which was a beautiful room which was perfect for small wedding. On the day of our wedding, Jack gave us such wonderful service as did every staff member. A number of guests spoke about the warmth and lovely welcome all the staff gave them and it was enhanced the experience even further. We are so happy with our wedding, despite the changes we had to consider there is nothing we would change about the experience we had. The K Club gave us a unique wonderful opportunity to celebrate our intimate wedding and cannot recommend them enough. Thanks so much

"Ireland in the Green"
Hey guys .. just recently enjoyed a visit to The K CLUB Straffan in Ireland ... and wanted to request that you pass on this information to two of your staff ... not to mention that all your staff encountered offered also a pleasant memory ... the BYERLEY TURK Restaurant was experienced on two occasions and on both occasions requested the meal to have wines paired to the selections of food ordered ... this is something I/We enjoy in our enjoyment of meals .. and this experience was certainly the best ever ... the reason is this ... the Consultant Sommelier LISA O' DOHERTY ... very product knowledgeable .. accompanied with a wonderful personality and a good emissary of Ireland not soon to be forgotten ... perfect selections which could only be delivered by LISA O'DOHERTY or a Master Sommelier
additionally it must not go without mention the Irish Whiskey Tasting Experience ... with ease and knowledge JOHN RYAN the Hotel Beverage Manager delivered an taste bud extravaganza a unique experience in the Vintage Crop Bar ... a Whiskey Master better you can not find

"Wonderful Stay"
We stayed here because two of the husbands were playing golf. We had a wonderful stay! The standard room was very large with a wonderful view looking over the grounds & the stream behind the hotel. The bed was very comfortable & the bathroom was wonderful with a great shower. We thought that the breakfast buffet was very good with a great deal of choices. We also ordered from the hot menu which was very good. Wait staff needs to be a little more attentive though.The hotel is lovely with several rooms for reading or relaxing. Staff is very attentive & friendly. Beautiful grounds for walking around in peace & quiet. If you want AC be sure to ask for a room with AC at the time of booking. Would come again & highly recommend!

Stunning hotel, incredible rooms and excellent customer service
We have stayed in the K Club on a number of occasions now. The location is prefect, just 30 mins from Dublin and plenty to do and explore around the area. The SPA is amazing with towels and changing facilities available. We ate in the restaurant during our most recent stay and the service and food was near perfection. Our room on this occasion looked over the garden with stunning views across the countryside. Cannot wait to return

"A Great Experience"
We recently spent 5 nights at the K club and it was a very pleasurable experience. The staff is incredible, catering to every wish with a smile. Our room was quite large for european standards and the bathroom was huge. We did not have A/C but opened the windows and were fine. I understand rooms in the newer wing have A/C. I highly recommend a stay at this true 5 star resort!

"Perfect in Every Way"
We stayed at K Club at the end of our family vacation throughout Ireland. It is a beautiful resort. From the moment you arrive the hotel sets the standard with impeccable service. The rooms are gorgeous from the lobby to the bedrooms suites. We stayed with our children and were given a wonderful offer on connecting rooms. The grounds are immaculate. Dinner was delicious and the breakfast buffet and menu offerings were expansive. There was even to-go coffee and pastry set-out at the lobby door which was greatly appreciated as we headed out of town. We went swimming at the indoor pool and while we did not use the spa services the facilities were lovely. We would love to return.
