**Rant alert** Stayed at the Fitzwilliam hotel Belfast on Wednesday night 19/10/22 me and Jamie for a nice night away to go and see Kevin bridges.. Checked in at 3pm which wasn’t a problem, we went to the town came back got ready and left the hotel around 6pm to head to the sse arena.
While getting ready I changed my earrings and set them on the bedside table.. we returned from the show and I had noticed someone had been in the room obviously staff as the curtains had been drawn, fancy pillows took off the bed chocolates and the bottles of water sitting beside our beds. Went to change my earrings back and noticed them missing, remembering that’s exactly where I had set them thought was a little suspicious.. Me and my partner turned the room upside down looking everywhere for these earrings.. nothing, 100% sure that’s where I’ve stuck them.
My partner goes down to reception reports the earrings missing and was told there would be a note left for the staff in morning as would need to speak to house keeping and we would be rung first thing in the morning.. morning comes and no phone call, so down to reception and they haven’t a clue what my partner was talking about.. gets house keeping to come into the room yet still no earrings.. reception staff was extremely rude, couldn’t of gave a crap and had 0 interest in the situation..
We checked out, asked for the manager.. she asks us the situation I tell her we legit went out for couple hours come back and my earrings are gone.. the earrings aren’t the issue, however they are a sentimental item from my sisters wedding.. she says that she will check who’s had access to the room, get maintenance in to check over all the room. Was told I would be contacted straight away the next day (Friday) 21/10/22.
Waited till 5:30pm Friday to a phone call from the manager to ask had I found them yet, then to say the turn over team was only in the room for 3 mins so wouldn’t of had time to basically take anything and I replied it takes 2 secs to lift something.. was told the maintenance had been through the room and nothing was found.. which I could of told them on Wednesday evening.. She told me that the staff was experienced and had been there for 9&13 years so she didn’t have an suspicions on them as there’s never been any other bother.. I asked where do we go from here to be told I hope I find my earrings and that they’ve no responsibility for them. Then hung up the phone..
Stay clear as a few reviews have said the same, jewellery gone missing and hotel are taking 0 responsibility..
Basically made to feel like a liar and not to mention left clueless on the situation and terrible communication.

Stayed here recently and the service was 1st class. The room was lovely as was the breakfast. Had a few drinks in the bar too which was very nice and not overly pricey. Really enjoyed the stay and will be back. Right in the center of Belfast and close to everything

Aside from the lovely suite we stayed at, we were able to enjoy Fitzwilliam Hotel’s amazing breakfast. It was something we needed before we headed out to the city. One more thing, the hotel is just in the middle of the city, specifically at the Great Victoria Street beside Grand Opera House. Thus, it’s easy for you to go around and have some DIY tours.

Excellent hotel could not fault in any way, staff well trained and helpful, Breakfast was extensive and catered for all that could be required. Rooms very well equipped with all requirements. Trendy decor, and a cosy feel to the public areas. An excellent location in the heart of Belfast, the surrounding area has some fantastic local pubs, great shopping and attractions, titanic exhibition a short walk, oldest pub in Belfast just round corner and a great local market very near. Will definitely stay here again when visiting Belfast again.

"Long weekend in Belfast staying at the Fitzwilliam Hotel" We enjoyed a long weekend to celebrate our wedding anniversary at the Fitzwilliam Hotel. We both really enjoyed our stay which we can recommend to everyone who enjoys being in the centre of Belfast and close to all the attractions. The hotel is very welcoming and all staff are cheerful and polite to everyone which we loved to have a chat to and hear their recommendations. The hotel is spotlessly clean and comfortable. Rooms are luxurious and well provided for. The quality of the food is exceptional and we looked forward to eating at the restaurant for breakfast and dinner which was delicious. Than k you also for our anniversary card and cake delivered to our room.
There is so much to see and do in Belfast and can recommend Crumlin gaol, Titanic tour and museum, black taxi cab to visit the site of the troubles, driving up to the Antrim Coast to visit Giants causeway, the rope bridge, Ballycastle, Ballytoy to see the locations of the Game of Thrones, Bushmills distillery and finally Stormont which was beautiful. We had a full weekend and enjoyed our selves immensely. Thank you!

It's situated right in the heart of the city, the building is modern and stylish, the staff are without exception friendly, welcoming and helpful, the rooms are comfortable and beautiful decorated and the food incredible.
I would have no hesitation recommending the Fitzwilliam for your stay in Belfast

"Fantastic Fitzwilliam Hotel" We stayed two nights and couldn’t fault the service from start to finish. The room was comfortable, clean and elegantly appointed. We had dinner and breakfast which were both very nice. The breakfast range of continental and cooked foods was comprehensive. All the staff were friendly and very helpful...10 out of 10.

"Jewel in Belfast" I stay in luxury hotels all over the world but this is the first time I have given a 5/5 From the second I pulled up and the concierge parked my car at no extra charge and was greeted by the professionals on reception I was blown away. This place is immaculate and every member of staff I’ve met has been exceptional That includes the hotel maintenance who came to show me how the air con worked and then asked me did I need the cleaning team to come and hoover as when checking it was working properly 2 small flakes of roof squares landed on the bathroom floor Everything in the room has been thought from large umbrellas candle beside the bath Fresh coffee for the cafetière the fitzwilliam box I’ll let you discover that!! Magazines slippers dressing gowns great quality toiletries beautiful bed linen and accessories So for 2 years I’ve worked up here each month really struggled to find a nice place to stay I’ve now booked my next trip and I cannot wait to come back
