We had a wonderful stay at The Merchant. We had a beautiful Art Deco room. So sumptuous and luxurious and Romantic. The care and attention given by the staff is second to none. Attention to detail is paramount. Cannot wait to return. I would highly recommend the hotel for a great city centre location. Valet parking was so great. Definitely five star treatment from start to end.

My Partner booked us a Winter Special Deal to celebrate my Birthday. On arrival she informed Summer at reception that it was my birthday and was there any upgrades available. Summer proceeded to upgrade us to the Seamus Heaney Suite. A fantastic touch and it made our stay even more memorable. The Suite was fantastic and the Cocktails top notch. The service in the Cocktail Bar and the Great Room Restaurant was excellent and the food delicious. Highly recommended. Go on, treat yourself.

"First class" What a lovely hotel. Decor amazing. Rooms amazing. The staff make you feel very welcome if not important. The hot tube on the roof top another added bonus with great views of The Albert clock. Picturesque at night with the streets lit up. Breakfast great. Looked after by the staff very well. Went to n The Cloth Ear for dinner. A big improvement from my last visit. The hotel has bars of its on but situated in Belfast cathedral quarter there are plenty more to travel around. Just loved it all.

"Perfect birthday stay" I booked 2 nights in a Victorian room as a surprise for my husband's birthday. On our arrival, the very pleasant receptionist, Erin, informed us that we had been upgraded to a Victorian suite. This was totally unexpected and we were absolutely delighted with our accommodation. We had a large sumptuous bedroom with all the facilities expected in a 5 star hotel. The bathroom was beautiful with a traditional bath and a walk in shower and lovely lotions and potions. The sitting room had a big comfortable settee and 2 easy chairs, a large tv, a coffee table and even a gas fire! We ate in the Great Room on the Friday night. The food and service was excellent and my husband was served with a small birthday cake complete with candle. When we returned to our room that night, a birthday card and a dish of delicious truffles had been left by the hotel staff. Next morning the breakfast was really good and all served to the table, no buffet at the Merchant! The dining room staff made every effort to seat us together with our friends. We had a marvellous weekend and as we didn't have time to visit the spa, it would be a perfect excuse to visit again. Highly recommended.

"Faultless" Fabulous one-night stay. Five star luxury but with friendly and approachable staff. We were very lucky to be upgraded to a junior suite at check-in. The room was beautiful with a separate sitting area. From the cocktail bar to roof top jacuzzi to breakfast, I couldn't find fault.

“ABSOLUTELY LOVED THIS HOTEL!!” My husband and our 2 adult daughters stayed here during our trip to Ireland. This hotel is fabulous. Large rooms, clean, scrumptious bedding and linens. Our daughters couldn't stop talking about their room on the 5th floor. Only one "hick-up." They were awakened by a thump, thump, thumping at 6:30 in the morning only to find out that their room was just under the gym. They loved the room just not the noise in the morning. The food was wonderful, both dinner and breakfast with lots of offerings and cooked to perfection. We would definitely stay here again if traveling to Northern Ireland.
