“Another wonderful stay at the Athenaeum”

This was our 3 rd stay at the Athenaeum and the 2nd this year. We were keen to see the hotel now that all the renovation work was finished and we were not disappointed. As ever all the staff were wonderfully helpful and they had organised a lovely gesture of a card and cake in our room to celebrate our 23rd wedding anniversary. The new bar is really cool, great cocktails and a really chic atmosphere. The new check in process was quick and easy and I can see most top end hotels moving to an iPad and no traditional check in. Thank you to everyone for making our weekend so special. Can't wait to return..

“Fabulous stay”

I stayed at the Athenaeum for the first time this week, from entering the lobby to departing I have to say the service was first class with great staff. The room was incredibly well equipped and presented and most comfortable. For anybody staying who wants to see a little know part of London, the Shepherd Market is literally just around the corner with some superb small restaurants and a couple of very traditional London pubs.
I wouldn't consider staying anywhere else when I'm in London now

“Excellent location, lovely view and good room”

I stayed at the Athenaeum in December around Christmas/New Years in a park view room so this review is a little late but anyway...

The hotel is centrally located just a short walk away from green park tube station. Winter wonderland and the shops, cafes, restaurants, nightclubs, casino in Mayfair is just at the doorstep so overall an excellent location if you want to be in/near the hustle and bustle of the city.

The room was well appointed and apart from a fantastic park view, the bathroom was also good as it was spacious and had a bidet which is such a plus if you are from the Middle East.

I had continental breakfast in the hotel one morning and the spread was quite generous in terms of breads, cold cuts, cheeses, cereal, jams etc.

The hotel also has a cute little patio just outside entrance where one can people watch or smoke. Even in December it was quite well heated. Overall I can definitely recommend this hotel and suggest a park view room.
