Linden House: Cork

With its alluring setting, unique design and panoramic full-length gable windows, Linden House is one Ireland's most outstanding rentals. Located in West Cork, Linden House is a deluxe seashore property overlooking Glengarriff Harbour on the Southwest coast of Ireland.

The masterwork of a famous architect, Linden House was designed to blend perfectly with the glorious landscape of trees, meadows and water. Built of mellow local stone, the house makes full use of organic materials - even the roof insulation is in natural cork.

The two wings of the house provide ten bedrooms, each providing a spacious living room where the gable windows have glorious views of Garnish Island. The lush beauty of Garnish's famous gardens owes their luxuriance to the positive effect of the Gulf Stream.

In the mild climate of the area sub-tropical tree ferns, scarlet fuchsia and giant eucalyptus flourish side by side with ancient oaks and gigantic conifers.

Built into the hillside the house is entered from the highest part of the site through a glass corridor. The long hallway of the west wing drops seawards through three different levels and leads to the gorgeous living room. Nearly 80 meters square the room has fabulous views of Glengarriff Harbour and Garnish Island.

Accommodation:

There are two sections to the house - The South Wing and The West Wing.
In total ten bedrooms and six bathrooms. The West Wing having seven bedrooms and the South Wing has 3.
The property can be rented in its entirety or has two separate units.

"Wonderful stay in Linden house"
We were so blown away by our stay in Linden house . The house was so well equipped , spotless , comfortable and beautifully decorated with stunning flower arrangement . Thank you Caroline and Relax Ireland for being so helpful throughout the booking process and a huge thank you to Ester for being so helpful and lovely and making the stay even more special . Not only will we be back but I will be telling everyone about it .

"A retreat escape"

Fabulous location,however our guests for the retreat we held did not rate the bedrooms very highly. Some of the rooms are quite small and school like. The rate for utilities ( electric and heating) were exorbitant and I'm not sure these rates are fair given the cost to rent the property, especially since we have multiple bookings for the summer. The wifi caused a bit of trouble for us.

However, this is a very special location nonetheless and one I hold dear. The caretakers are phenomenal and so very helpful and accommodating. The beds and blankets were deceivingly comfortable and the location is incredible. I can't wait to get back.

"Beautiful house in a beautiful part of the world"
We spent a week in Linden House with family for a birthday celebration. The house was beyond our expectations - very spacious, clean, and catered for all of our needs. The view from the main lounge was spectacular. The estate is very well kept and a lovely place to walk. There are many activities in the local area. The housekeeper - Esther - was very welcoming and helpful.

"Awesome, roomy place in SW Ireland"

Great place! We had 10 guys from the U.S. and everyone had their own room. Plenty of space and a spacious table for eating and gathering. The view of the bay out the back was spectacular. The Relax Ireland team were helpful and supportive.
